Philippe Borremans

PR Consultant & Certified Trainer

Philippe Borremans is an independent public relations consultant specialising in crisis communications and reputation management. He is one of the founders of Reputation & Co., a network of senior communications consultants active in Europe and Northern Africa. Previous to his current role, he was Strategy Director at PR Media, a Casablanca-based public relations agency with offices across the Maghreb region. Before moving to Morocco, he was Chief Social Media Officer and CSR coordinator at Van Marcke Group. Between 1999 and 2009 he held several communications positions at IBM, including corporate and online communications. Throughout his career, he has worked both in-house and in agency. Philippe records & publishes his weekly PR podcast Wag The Dog FM and is a regular guest lecturer at business schools and universities in Belgium, France and Morocco. He is a Board Member of the International Association of Public Relations (IPRA) and Digital Work Group Coordinator with the European Association of Communication Directors (EACD).

I believe that the best environment to focus on work is away from work. This is an intensive boot camp and holding it in the beautiful & inspiring city of Fes will allow you to disconnect from the day to day. The cultural environment and welcoming people will open your mind and ignite your best ideas.

The registration fee covers the total cost of the program over 4 nights and 3 days; breakfast, lunch and accommodation, graduation dinner on the last evening, nonalcoholic beverages during the day, preferential rate for on-site dinner, learning & coaching as well as the program materials. Private transport from the airport to and from the Riad.

The fee does not cover airfares, travel insurance, health insurance, dinner (although there is a preferential rate for on-site dinner at the Riad available), personal expenses and Visa fees. Accommodation and food before and after the boot camp days are not covered but can be arranged at preferential rates.

Once you send your name and email address through the registration form you will receive all the details of the boot camp and the request for payment via bank transfer and invoice. Once the payment has been received in full - and only then - will you be officially registered for the boot camp and your spot will be secured. We only have 8 spots available and they will be filled on a "first come/paid, first served" basis. Date of funds received into our account will be used as final registration and proof.

If you are unable to attend the boot camp for any reason you may substitute someone else from the same organisation after you informed us. Where you are unable to attend, and you are not in a position to transfer your place to another person, then the following refund arrangements apply: Registrations cancelled more than 60 days before the event will be refunded 80% of the registration fees. Registrations cancelled less than 60 but more than 30 days before the event will be refunded 50% of the registration fees. Registrations cancelled less than 30 days before the event will not be eligible for a refund. Refunds will be made in the following ways: For payments received by credit or debit cards, the same credit/debit card will be refunded. For all other payments, a bank transfer will be made to the payee account. Please note: For international payments by bank transfer, the refund will be made by bank transfer and all bank charges will be for the registrants account.

Accommodation in Fes will consist of a private bedroom with bathroom in a privatised Riad close to the old medina of the city. We make sure the accommodations are clean and secure. They include linens, towels, and an Internet connection. If you have any lodging preferences or special needs, we’ll do our best to help. I have personally tested & stayed at the Riad - Fes is my "home away from home".

In short, yes. I have lived & traveled in the country for many years now and never had any issues. The international travel advisory for the country states "exercise normal precautions in Morocco" - which means that traveling and staying here is no different than in any other stable country. We also have the staff members of the Riad which provide us with intimate firsthand & up to date safety advice regarding what neighbourhoods or areas should be avoided, local do's and don'ts, etc. And after more than 2 years in the country, I can definitely show you around safely.

This is a boot camp! No really, after a full day of hard work you will have time to discover the beautiful city of Fes. We'll finish each day around 17:00 and you will receive my "off the beaten track" list with the best addresses in town. Fes is home to the oldest university in the world, has one of the largest medinas and has the best craftsman in the country. There is so much to discover! Depending on the group we can plan excursions together or you can adventure on your own. No pressure.

The fee includes your night at the Riad before we begin the boot camp, so we expect you to arrive on Tuesday evening. Your room is paid for till Saturday morning. If you would like to extend your stay and discover more of Fes and Morocco, let us know and we'll put you in touch with the Riad to check availability or alternatives.

Yes of course. All rooms are double rooms but during registration you will have to indicate if your partner is joining us. The fee quoted is for boot camp participants only. We will let you know exactly what the additional fee would be for a +1. Also, if enough partners will join our group, we will provide a modular partner program at an additional (friendly) fee.
